Eligibility:
Applicants for predoctoral awards must be enrolled students in good standing in a program leading to a research doctorate, such as a Ph.D. or Sc.D., or a dual degree such as an M.D./Ph.D. Applicants for postdoctoral awards must have completed their doctoral or medical degree and have been accepted as a postdoctoral fellow in good standing in a program as of the award start date.

Eligibility:
Adviser-student pairs must be studying scientific problems in biomedical sciences, life sciences, or biological questions in related disciplines. Students must be in their second or third year of a PhD program and/or have at least two full years of study remaining and be from populations excluded from and underrepresented in science because of ethnicity, race, or disability status, or alumni of the HHMI EXROP program.

Prospective fellows must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, undocumented childhood arrivals, or undocumented individuals who have been granted temporary permission to stay in the U.S. (DACA).

Nominations made August 18 - September 16 and full application due December 9
